The calm before the storm...

Apparently there's going to be a massive typhoon, Bolaven, hitting Korea tomorrow. It's coming up from the south-west, has already ravaged Okinawa in Japan, and is passing through Jeju Island right now. All schools in Seoul (public schools, anyway) will be closed tomorrow, which is probably an indication of how serious the situation is supposed to be.

The funny thing is, even though everyone is supposedly on "high alert", it really doesn't feel like anything out of the ordinary is going to happen. I've had friends telling me to board up my windows and take preventative measures to make sure the glass doesn't shatter, watch out for falling signs and lights when walking on the street, etc. Yet it's still dry as a bone here in Seoul, and the sky earlier in the evening was actually quite pretty with patches of clear blue...

So it makes me wonder just how "serious" it's really going to be...

Guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Unfortunately I still have to go to my evening job at the adult school tomorrow, but on the bright side, since all public schools are closed, I don't have to go to work in the daytime and can stay snug in bed until 5pm. (Which I have every intention of doing :P) Woohooooo!

Bring on the emergency holiday! >:D
