A new addiction...

Introducing my latest addiction.... The Konad Nail Stamping system.

The basic set consists of a scraper and a rubber stamp:

First you choose a design you like from their assorted "image plates", which are thin plates of metal with different patterns and pictures etched onto them. (Ordered separately - smart marketing tactic. :P)

Paint over your chosen design with the nail polish of your choice.

Scrape the excess polish off with the scraper.

Push down on it with the stamper.

Now you have an image ready to stamp onto your nails.

(Lol, no you're not tripping out. I changed the color to purple to make it easier to see.)

Stamp away and... Voila! Detailed nail art in a matter of seconds! :D

Then, when you get tired of stamping your fingernails, stamp away on your cell phone, books, fashion accessories, etc. Any blank surface that you feel needs more decoration. Awesome-ous, right?! :D

I initially got this for my fantastic twinno Lisha, who actually puts effort into making her nails pretty, so I thought it would be the perfect birthday gift for her. On a whim though I decided to pick myself up a set too, which has since lead to my downfall. Not only does it make you want to change your nails with a funky new design every 3 days, but it also sets you on a manic spree to collect as many of the Konad image plates as you can, like a 10 year old collecting Pokemon trading cards. (Gotta catch 'em aaaaaall! lol)

Yes... This coming from the person who usually wouldn't give two hoots about her nails, as painting them usually just leads to smudging them a few minutes later. u__u

However, I would really recommend this for people who
a) want to make their nails look funky
b) don't want to pay through their nose for a salon job.

Granted, it does take a while to get used to, but it's really fun to do when you've got some spare time on your hands. (And God only knows I have enough free time now, huh? XD)

I've already changed my nails twice in the space of a week, and gotten my co-worker hooked on them too.

Nyaaaargh. @__@ You can see the parts where I've botched them up, but with a little more practice I'm hoping to get a better hang of it. :D

PS: For anyone interested in purchasing these ingenious items, you can order them from Konadnailart.com. ^^

Say miss yenneh how long did they take before they shipped out your order? Its been 4 weekdays and the tracking status still says not shipped XD. Is this normal ?

Ooh that's strange.. How slack of them! Did you pay by credit card?

Actually I ordered mine from a Korean website called Gmarket.com so I'm not sure how long the Konad site is supposed to take.. If it's not too late to stop the transaction, maybe you can try ordering from Gmarket instead? The only thing is you need a Gmarket account and the "English version" of the site is still mostly in Korean. When I get back next week I could help you set up an acc if you want. ^^ (Or I can order from my acc and you can pay me back)
