Communication, anyone?!

So.. This CELTA thing.. My god, it's giving me the shits.

As you might've already read in a previous blog entry, one of the administrators had said via email that she'd be in touch about an interview several weeks ago, and then never made any contact after that. So last weekend I sent another email asking how my application was going, and if I had qualified for an interview.

And of course to that email I received...?

Nothing. No reply. Zilch.

Ridiculous much?

So today I called them up and actually managed to speak with that particular administrator herself. And this was her excuse: "The CELTA trainer has been away, so we haven't been able to organise anything regarding your interview yet."

Well then. That's a perfectly valid reason, but why the f*ck couldn't she have taken 5 seconds to type that out in an email and fricking well let me know?!

I'm sorry, but is good old communication suddenly out of fashion now?

As far as I know, communication with prospective students -- who are essentially like clients or customers, because they're going to be paying thousands of dollars to come and study at your school -- should be of utmost importance. It's not just a matter of decent service, but also basic manners, and hell.. common f*cking sense.

WTF, man. WTF.

And here I was thinking that inadequate communication was only a Korean thing. =__=

OMG! TWINNOOOO! How terrible! I know how you feel. Sometimes it takes AGES for someone to take action around here in Australia!!! >=(

I find that things are handled wayyyy more efficiently in the more developed countries of Asia than Australia :(

You've had a similar experience too Twinno?! Darn Australians... so darn laaaazy... (I say this as I'm eating breakfast at 4pm having woken up 30 minutes ago lol)

But yeah, you're right. Stuff in many Asian countries is a lot more speedy and efficient.. Guess Aus still has a ways to go in that respect. :X
